Hi Doug,

This note is to thank you for making me such a great cue!  I’ve received so many
compliments on how beautiful it looks.  Everyone loves the alligator wrap, the ring work, the
floating points, and the great color of the Cocobolo wood you selected for the cue.

My cue is not just good looking—it also has a great hit!  I particularly like the custom taper
you put on the shafts.  That shaft taper, combined with the radial joint and Moori medium tip,
produce a very low deflection hit that has a really good feel for me.

As a player for more than 25 years and Billiard Congress of America (BCA) pool instructor, I
have the opportunity to hit with a lot of different cues—I’m happy to say that your
craftsmanship is some of the best out there.
Keep up the great work
!
Regards,
John

TESTIMONIALS
To Whom It May Concern:

I am writing to thank you for the best hitting cue I have played with to date.  Over 42 years of
playing this great game, I have had the fortune of playing with the highest caliber of cues from
some of the greatest cue makers, such as Bill Stroud's Josh West and Gus Zamboti and I will
tell you that when I picked up this cue at a local tournament and struck some balls, I
discovered that Doug's cues had the most solid but smooth hit I have experienced.  I really
was not in the market for a cue but after an half hour of hitting one of his cues I promptly
bought it.  In my humble opinion, these cues have the smoothest, most solid and the least
deflection of any cue I have hit to date.

Doug, I would like to thank you for your superior workmanship.  I know from the workmanship,
that is evident on my cue, that it isn't possible to make a better cue!

    Cue Review - Doug Patrick
I've been wanting a sneaky Pete and decided to purchase one about a month ago . . . I spied a Doug Patrick built cue
here on the AZ Sale Forum and decided to buy it - I just received it last Friday. I don't post here that often, let alone
write cue reviews, but after playing with this thing for two days I felt compelled to share my opinion.

This is a 19.5 oz. full splice cue made from a AAAA piece of cocobola and maple . . . 19.5 oz. with LBM ferrules, radial
pin and phenolic joint. Very simple ringwork on the shafts, joint and butt with no wrap. The build quality and finish are
exceptional and flawless.

I played with it a little on Friday night . . . whoa! After two hours playing with it on Saturday I decided to write something
up. This is the best hitting cue I've EVER tried and/or owned - PERIOD. I've owned/played with Joss & McDermott for 25+
years, and gotten my hands on a whole bunch of the great builders cues - hit Southwest, Richard Black, Samsara, Paul
Mottey, etc. This Patrick hits as well, if not better than ANY other cue I've ever tried! I mean, I've never written a cue
review before, but this thing has impressed me that much!

The cue has a firm, clean hit - you know exactly where you contacted the cue ball, perfect feedback and control - overall
it's incredibly accurate. The shafts exhibit almost NO deflection! I'm old school and like traditional wood shafts; I believe
a good piece of shaft wood will perform comparably with most of the newest "low deflection" shafts. The Patrick built
shafts do just that, but without the guesswork and "adjustments" you have to make with some of the newer shaft
technology. (i.e. Z shafts, etc.)

I can't describe what else I'd want out of a cue that this thing doesn't deliver . . . the cue ball goes exactly where you aim
it, english is applied with minimal to no deflection, it has crisp responsive feedback, and the balance is just incredible.
I've bought and hit a LOT of cues looking for that magic feel of a great one piece cue . . . this Patrick is as good as it
gets . . . I recommend you get your hands on one - hit it and you'll see what I mean.

I ordered an extra shaft for this cue, and it gave me the opportunity to talk to Mr. Patrick via phone. I have no
relationship with him, and posted this to let those of you who search for a great playing cue that you need to be aware of
his product. He's very professional, and told me that his sole objective is to make cues that are appreciated by players. I
hope this post can bring some awareness to his superior work and service . . . Thanks for building me such a great cue
Doug!

Hi folks,

I recently received an awesome Patrick Cue from himself and it was such a smooth deal!

I hit the cue the last few days and I have to say, it is a real beauty with the ivory joint and also ivory ferule in 18.8 oz.

Thx for everything Doug, this won?t be the last cue from you. My Black Boar has now to go back into his box, it?s not
longer useful for me to play!!

      Patrick Custom Cues
I would like to commend Doug Patrick custom cues. After playing the wonderful game of pool for many years, I've finally
found a cue that was well worth the money! I have played with many cues, but this cue really hits em sweet! Anyone
looking for a cue that looks and plays great, must get one of his cues. I usually don't brag much, but I have to brag on
this cue. Thanks Doug Patrick for at least a ball improvement!

Doug Patrick Inlayed Custom Cue ... REVIEW...
Hello.

The following is a review of a Doug Patrick Custom cue I ordered I drew it up and started looking for Cue makers ...
Doug was the one that I settled on to make this cue and with his help this is what we came up with so it is really a design
that was thought of by both of us in the end. First let me that Doug is very easy to work with and easy to get a hold of .
He has great communication skills and is very easy to access. He also has great customer service.

Doug has been a pleasure to deal with ... The cue was a little behind on the delivery date ... But honestly that is at my
request for him to take his time and get the cue right I asked this of him several times I was in no rush just wanted a
good job done. I did not want a rush job and a bungled cue and Doug hit this one very nicely and did an excellent job...
All I could do was smile when I took the cue out of the package the finish was very nice and the inlay work sharpe ... The
wrap looks and feels and looks good I have gotten alot of compliments on the wrap and the cue. The inlays are nicely
down and look natural setting in the cue no complaints there. The veneers again nicely done the cue feels even with no
glue lines felt. If I have one thing to change on the cue I might of gone back and put a little more color in the veneers ...
But I chose the colors so I'm not complaining I wanted to go with a simple color theme and that is what I have ...

Playability ... I have been using the cue off and on for a week or two ... The cues goes together nicely and everything
lines up smoothly ... It has a very nice smooth hit to it like your shooting through the cue ball effortlessly ... It is no
wonder Doug finds good players willing to have him for a sponsor and play with his cues. The cue draws the ball well
and gets forward english well in fact contact with forward english and you can see the cue ball pickup speed and hit the
corner pocket very solid after contact. It gets left and right english just as well it is one of those cues that when you
shooot with it you get the confidence you can put the cue ball anywhere on the table you desire. I have a friend who is a
cue maker and well known for good cues here on AZ...he came over to my house for the first time last week and asked
to see my new Patrick ...He got on my table and put the cue through the test ... He is also a very good player after
hitting with it for awhile he liked the cue and the action that it got and he felt Doug did a great job on the cue.

Over all I would give Doug an A on this cue if I were to grade him on it ... I'm very happy with the cue and happy with the
way Doug treats his customers. If you thinking of buying a custom ... Doug Patrick is certainly a name to put on your
short list ...
Thanks Doug ...
